With 28 people dead
and 200 injured, the perfidious terrorist attack by the Real IRA in the
centre of Omagh, Co. Tyrone, shows how right John Major was when he wanted
peace talks only to begin after the paramilitary groups have decommissioned
their weapons.
Today there is a
peace agreement, to be sure, but what is it worth ?
The early release
of IRA prisoners from Northern Irish and English prisons is a premature
step which politicians might soon regret. |
